Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) is the fifth-generation game engine developed by Epic Games. Development kicked off in 2018 under Tim Sweeney and Kim Libreri’s leadership, and UE5 was publicly unveiled at the Epic Online Event on May 13, 2020.
